The program includes a behavioral analysis and blocking system that detects suspicious actions typically carried out by malware. Panda Cloud Antivirus Pro features two types of analysis: Optimized scan – which presumably analyzes the most important areas in the system, though you can’t know for sure – and Other scans, where you can select specific folders and files to be analyzed. The cloud-based functionality doesn't mean you remain unprotected when disconnected from the network: Panda Cloud Antivirus Pro features a local cache that keeps the program up and running, working at 100%. You can forget about complicated configurations and having to download new signature files! Thanks to this special cloud structure, Panda Cloud Antivirus Pro doesn't have to be manually updated. Panda Cloud Antivirus Pro is based on cloud computing, which means it’s only partially installed on your system and keeps core files on a dedicated server on the internet. Unfortunately, we can't recommend it: protection is only single-layered, the VPN is of very limited use, and when it comes to false positives the whole suite is just too trigger-happy to fully win our trust.Like its free counterpart, Panda Cloud Antivirus Pro offers complete system protection without necessarily taking up half of your resources or showing nagging windows all the time. Its 100% protection rating is eye-catching to say the least, and the Process Monitor is a real strength. Panda Free Antivirus - or Panda Dome, or whatever they want to call it - is certainly a security solution with a character all of its own. A nice touch is that each process shows the date when it was first detected, so you can instantly spot anything that's freshly arrived on your PC. At first glance this looks like a simple copy of the Windows Task Manager, but it's actually more similar to a firewall, exposing which processes are accessing the internet, assigning each one a trust rating and letting you block any unwanted items with a click. Since the USB autorun feature has been disabled in the OS since Windows 7 it's questionable how necessary this is, though it doesn't hurt to have that option. One slightly surprising inclusion is the USB Protection module, which "vaccinates" flash drives to ensure they can't be infected with autorun viruses.
